sponge cake (1/2 layer cake) or small pound cake
2 large packages of strawberry or any flavor gelatin dessert mix
1 cup washed and sliced fresh strawberries
1 peeled and sliced ripe bananna
1 peeled and thin sliced kiwi
16 oz. container pre-frozen whip cream


Cut the sponge cake or pound cake into 1-inch squares or rectangles and layer the bottom of a large glass baking dish 8 x 8 x 2 (or similar).

Follow the instructions on the gelatin and pour the dissolved mixture over the sponge cake. Place the fresh sliced strawberries in the dish into the gelatin mixture along with the bananna slices. Place the kiwi slices over the top of the dessert and chill until firm (approximately 6 hours).

Serve as a dessert with heaping mounds of whip cream on top.
