Fruit Tart Recipe
A great fruit tart recipe! Berries exquisitely placed in a bed of strawberry sauce.
2 egg yolks
1/2tsp lemon rind, grated
1 1/4cup flour
vanilla, pinch of powder or drop of liquid
1/4tsp lemon rind, grated
6 large strawberries
pistachio ice cream
1 cup milk
Combine butter and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg yolks, lemon rind and the flour. Mix and knead lightly with fingertips. Shape into a ball and chill for about 30 minutes.
Roll out, divide into 18 pieces and press the pastry into boat-shaped molds. Prick the pastry with a fork and place in preheated oven at 400 degree for 15 minutes.
Blend strawberries with the sugar, boil mixture with the cornstarch. When cool, spread the sauce on each plate. Decorate with yogurt.
Fill the pastry boats with the pastry cream and the fruit, as in photo. Decorate with pistachio ice cream and more fruit.
