Homemade Baby Wipes
Save money by making homemade baby wipes and find new uses for them.
When you have a baby, your grocery bills can go through the roof with diapers, formula, baby food, etc. Here is a tip that can save you a good deal of money and when you're not paying those outrageous prices for wipes anymore, you can use them all over the house!
To make your own baby wipes, first cut a roll of paper towels in half with a serrated knife. (Use a good brand like Bounty, the select-a-size ones are great. You don't want to use flimsy paper towels or rough ones.) You will need a 3 quart Tupperware type bowl with a lid to store the wipes in. Take the cardboard roll out of one of the halves of paper towels and place the roll into the bowl. Save the other half for the next batch.
Combine 2 cups of boiled water with 1 Tablespoon of baby bath and 1 1/2 Tablespoons of baby oil. Pour the mixture over the paper towels. Put the lid on your container and turn it upside down, making sure to soak all of the paper towels.
Try some of these other uses for baby wipes:
Keep a bowl of wipes in the bathroom, they come in handy for adults as well! You can even use them to remove your makeup.
Have a container in the car for quick clean-ups when there's no water around. They also make yor dash board clean and shiny fast!
Give some to the kids to play with, something in your house might actually get cleaned in the process!
