How To Make Homemade Cleaning Products

How many times have you run out of toilet bowl cleaner just before company was on the way? Have a spot on your carpet, but no spot remover? The following are safe products you can make at home, and how to do it.
Mix 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of salt, and 1 cup of white vinegar. Pour down the clogged drain. After 15 minutes, pour boiling water down the drain.
Remove as much of the stain as possible with a damp cloth. Apply 1 teaspoon white vinegar and a quart of cold water to spot, and dab with a towel. If a spot forms from the vinegar mixture, apply a mix of salt and water to remove.
Toilet Bowl Cleaners:
Simple. Pour 1/2 cup of chlorine bleach into toilet. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes, then scrub clean.
Use 3 Tablespoons of ammonia, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, and 3/4 cups of water. Pour into a spray bottle and clean away.
You can use olive oil to polish furniture, or a mixture of 1 pint of mineral oil and 2 teaspoons of lemon oil.
Some Safety Tips:
Never mix products containing ammonia with chlorine, toilet bowl cleaners, or rust removers. These will produce poisonous gases when they are combined. Wear goggles or face masks to protect yourself from ingesting harmful chemicals. Make sure the room you are using cleansers in has proper ventilation.
