Girl'S Crocheted Shoulder Purse
This girl's crocheted shoulder purse is perfect for ages 2-6 years. It is very easy to crochet and takes several hours to make.
Knitted worsted weight 4 ply yarn (1 ounce skeins),
1 skein main color either solid, ombre or variegated color
Small amount contrasting color yarn either solid, ombre or varigated color
Crochet Hook – Size K
Purse Size: 5" wide x 5" long
Front Panel: Using the main color yarn, ch 14. Turn.
Row 1: Starting in the second ch from hook, sc in each ch across – 13 sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat Row 1 for 1 row. Fasten off.
Back Panel: Repeat Row 1 for 10 rows.
Next Row: Work 2 sc together, work 1 sc in each sc across to within the last 2 sc, work 2 sc together. Ch 1, turn. Repeat last row until 3 stitches are remaining. Fasten Off.
Finishing: With wrong sides facing together, using contrasting color, sc the sides and bottom of front panel to back of purse continuing all the way around the top and other side of purse. Leaving purse pouch open, sc across the top of the front panel. Finish Off.
Strap: Attaching contrasting color to one corner of the back of purse, chain stitch for 55 stitches. Fasten with slipstitch to other corner of the back of the purse. Weave in any loose ends.
