Oil Massage

Four to five drops of the essential oils of fennel, or mint, combined with a teaspoon of jojoba massage oil, gently massaged in circular motions on the stomach area can soothe and calm stomach upset caused by anxiety and stress. Essential oil massages are especially effective for colicky children.

Herbal Tea

Chamomile tea has been regarded as an effective stomach pain reliever, even for children. To mix one cup of tea, combine 1 teaspoon of chamomile flowers with one ounce each of peppermint leaves, fennel seeds, and lemon-balm leaves; pour boiling water and steep for five to ten minutes, then strain. Drink up to three cups a day.

A strong chamomile tea made from two tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers in a cup of hot water can also helps cleanse the abdominal organs of distressful elements.
