One does not have to rely on store bought items to refresh and revitalize themselves. Use the following recipes I have compiled to make yourself feel refreshed both inside and out!

FIRST THE OUTSIDE..................

Homemade Strawberry Moisturizer
1 Tablespoon each: olive, coconut and vegetable oils
2 Tablespoons fresh mashed strawberries
(optional) 1-2 drops Vitamin E oil

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Store in refrigerator in a covered jar between uses.

Peppermint Refresher
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
3-4 drops peppermint oil (oil of eucalyptus can be used in place of peppermint if you prefer)
Pour the water and alcohol into a bottle, then add the oil. Cap and shake well. Apply to your skin with a clean cloth.

Lemon Moisturizer
1 beaten egg yolk
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Combine egg yolk and lemon juice in a small bowl. Stir with a wire wisk while adding both oils until the mixture thickens. If it is too thick, add more lemon juice until reaching desired consistency.

NOW THE INSIDE................

Lemon Freshened Iced Water
Take a 1 gallon pitcher and fill it half way with ice cubes.
Add to it the juice of 1/2 a large freshly squeezed lemon. Slice other half of the lemon and drop into pitcher. Fill with fresh water. If you have municipal water, use bottled or spring water.

Sun-sational Tea
Take a gallon glass container and drop in 7 tea bags of your choice.
Fill jar with cold water, close lid and sit in sun for minimum of 7 hours.
Add sugar and fresh lemon to taste and serve over ice.
