one pint heavy cream (not whipping cream)
1 TBL vanilla
2 TBL sugar

metal bowl, chilled

Chill the bowl first as that helps the cream to whip better. Pour the pint of heavy cream into the bowl. Add the vanilla and sugar. Beat on medium speed until cream starts to thicken. When it reaches desired thickness, you have home made whipped cream. Don't overmix the cream as you could end up with butter. Refrigerate any leftover whipped cream.
