1 med onion
1/2 lb liver, cut in strips
1/4 c butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp red wine
2 hard cooked eggs, separated

Cut onion into eighths. Saute onion and liver in butter until liver is just done, stirring frequently; place in blender container. Add salt, pepper, wine, and egg whites; cover. Process at high speed until smooth, scraping side of blender with rubber spatula frequently. place in serving bowl. Blend egg yolks until chopped fine; sprinkle over pate.
