8 c shredded cabbage
3 green sweet peppers, chopped fine
3 red sweet peppers, chopped fine
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 pt vinegar
2 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp celery seed

Mix cabbage, green and red peppers, and onion in stainless steel or glass bowl. Mix vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, and celery seed in saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage mixture; mix well. Cover; marinate in refrigerator for 24 hours before serving. Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator. Two small jars of pimento strips, drained, may be substituted for red peppers.
