1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans
2 squares (1 ounce each) semi-sweet chocolate


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate in double boiler. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Sift together; then add flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix well. Add pecan pieces and melted chocolate. Form in rolls 2 inches in diameter (like silver dollars). Wrap in waxed paper. Use a sharp knife to cut into 1/8-inch slices. Remove wax paper and place discs on slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
