4 or 5 pieces of chicken
salt and pepper
garlic powder
other herbs of your choice
1 chopped onion
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 soup can of chablis or comparable white wine


Season 3, 4, 5 or so pieces of chicken (with salt, pepper, garlic powder, or whatever herbs you like). Put a couple of tablespoons of oil in a fry pan and brown the chicken. Brown only; don't try to cook through. Add a cut up onion for the lst five or so minutes of this browning peroiod. Open a can of cream of mushroom soup and mix it with a likely amount of chablis (or some other comparable white). If you're using a cast iron skillet, there's no need to change pans; but otherwise, when brown, transfer the chicken, onions, and any essence into a baking dish (or pan) and pour the liquid (wine and soup) over the chicken. Bake in oven at about 350 degrees for about one half hour or until chicken is tender. Serve with rice or egg noodles (the latter are easier to cook than the rice), spooning the sauce over whichever you use. Remember rice takes about tewenty-five minutes to cook after putting the rice into the boiling water. Noodles take about twelve minutes to cook after putting them into the boiling water. This is a very easy but very good meal.
