Nothing beats the crock-pot for easy cooking. Below is a recipe for a delicious beef stew. Cut up the ingredients the night before, store in the refrigerator, and put them in the crock-pot in the morning before you leave for work.

1 1/2 lbs. of beef stew meat (This is typically labeled as stew meat, but any cut will work) Make sure meat is cut in chunky pieces.
5-6 large carrots, cut in pieces
Baking Potatos, quartered
Mushrooms, try Portabella for a great taste
3-4 stalks of celery, cut in pieces
1/2 onion, diced
Chopped garlic to taste
1 large can of tomato paste
Flour, to dredge meat in

Dredge meat in flour and put on the bottom of the crock-pot. Add all other ingredients, pouring tomato paste over the top. Cook on low for 8-9 hours and serve over pasta or rice, or with French Bread. Note: There is no need to stir the mixture while it is cooking.
