1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
1/2 cup granulated or caster sugar
7 Tbls all purpose flour
2 Tbls milk
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup finely chopped toasted blanched almonds


In a medium sauce pan, cook and stir the Crisco, sugar, flour, milk, and salt until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the toasted almonds. Spoon onto an air-bake cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. After cooling for about 2 minutes, use a marble rolling pin to roll into wafers. Serve as a snack or dessert on a special occasion.
